To Purchasers of Omni Water Filtration Systems

Omni Corporation ("Omni"), a leading manufacturer of water filtration systems for consumers, is offering consumers free replacements of the brass faucets in its systems with a high-impact engineered plastic faucet.  Brass is an alloy containing lead, and brass faucets leach lead into water.  A study conducted on behalf of the Center For Environmental Health, a California environmental organization, detected levels of lead in excess of that permitted under California's Proposition 65 intake water emitted from Omni's OT-2 water filtration system.

Omni has not had an opportunity to assess or verify the study.  Omni's water filtration systems are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation and the California Department of Health Services.  However, Omni is voluntarily offering replacement faucets for all of its water filtration systems.  Owners may exchange their brass faucet for a lead-free plastic replacement faucet by calling Omni's consumer service department at (800) 937-6664.  Within ten days after receipt of your request for a lead-free replacement faucet, Omni will send you such a faucet along with installation instructions at no charge.
